Position Highlights

Gathers and analyzes information to determine learning needs.  Evaluates training programs, and materials.  Facilitates internal learning solutions and develops in-house training programs as assigned.

 

Sales training in retirement services strongly preferred!



Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible to assess, design, and conceptualize training scenarios, approaches, objectives, plans, tools, aids, curriculums, and other state of the art technologies related to training.
  • Prepares recommendations and reports to senior level personnel and/or management. Implements approved revisions to course materials as necessary to improve training effectiveness.
  • Develops and mentors less tenured Trainers.
  • Documents and reports on the four levels of training effectiveness – from classroom perception to training ROI.
  • Lead or participate in project teams to define or implement full-cycle training programs from the initial needs-assessment, through design and development, to facilitation and ongoing evaluation
  • Stay abreast of market events, investment product enhancements, and successful sales techniques in order to be up-to-speed on potential training topics
  • Identify the best approach training requirements to include, but not limited to hardware, software, simulations, course assessment and refreshment, assessment centers, oral examinations, interviews, computer assisted and adaptive testing, behavior-based assessment and performance, and team and unit assessment and measurement. May provides train-the-trainer resources and/or qualify trainers for content delivery.
  • Coordinate logistics of training to include training room, attendance tracking, passwords, materials and supplies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Masters degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of practical business experience.
  • Intermediate skill level MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
  • Certification in training and/or OD preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in adult learning.
  • Experience in delivery of learning and OD solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in developing learning curriculums.
  • Strong motivational and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment.
  • FINRA Series 7 license & other industry specific registrations/licenses required within GWRS established timelines.

 

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Normal office working conditions.
  • Frequent travel required.
