An Enterprise Architect is in a leadership role with the ability to design best practices in IT Development as they concern service integration in a diverse environment lowering total cost of ownership and improve performance and efficiency of IT systems. In this role, you will create logical designs, describe the deployment of the designs on a physical platform, translate logical designs into systems artifacts, recognize alternatives and propose alternatives and recommendations throughout the creation of the logical and physical design and in some cases be responsible for translating design artifacts into an end-state solution. You will work with Enterprise Architects, IT Infrastructure, PMO office, Business, Third party integrators teams in reviewing, evaluating, designing and implementing solutions for all projects. The ideal candidate will work in an environment that should be able to prove technical concepts quickly using a variety of rapid development tools, and technical leadership/direction to MOBILE development projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Identifies technical automation solutions for business processes improvement.
  • Create Reference Architecture understanding significant components and the relationships between them within a Service-Oriented Architecture and develop consistent SOA implementations in applications and systems.
  • Works independently or in team with other consultants to customize salesforce.com solutions and integrate third-party tools (both vendor and open source).
  • Maintain high levels of current skills in software-as-a-service (SaaS) architecture, solution design, and salesforce.com technologies and best practices.
  • Maintain high levels of current skills in platform-as-a-service (PaaS) architecture and solution design e.g. Heroku, Amazon AWS.
  • Develop, document, and provide input into the platform technology roadmap for Empower Retirement and Great West Financial.
  • Develop SalesForce solutions on projects, small and large.
  • Understand integration protocols and technology such as REST, OData and MuleSoft Service Bus.
  • Document requirements & functional specification for projects including use cases, screen mockups, wireframes, integration specifications and field mappings.
  • Investigate new technologies and business applications and assist the Enterprise Architecture team.
  • Design and modernize complex systems into Cloud compatible or cloud native applications.
  • Create strategies and designs for migrating application to cloud systems.
  • Develop complex business process architectures, process relationship maps, functional relationship maps, cross-functional maps and work flow diagrams.
  • Responsible for conception of solutions and the selling and execution of such solutions.
  • Design and create cloud native designs , including Cloud Formation and Terraform type scripting.
  • Implement best practices relating to design for architecture design and solution designs. Make leadership recommendations regarding strategic architectural considerations related to process design and process orchestration.
  • Coordinates with the groups of business unit who test, validate, evaluate new applications and functions, and determine and resolve issues.
  • Respond to evolving and changing security conditions.  Implement and recommend security guidelines.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years total development and software systems experience.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, security model and Integration components .
  • Expertise with Microservice designs (all languages).
  • Expertise in Cloud designs, containers, container orchestrations, multi cloud designs.
  • Knowledge or AWS ECS, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Experience with CI and CD processes, tools and designs.
  • Familiar with Data Warehouse systems and high capacity transformation engines (like Spark).
  • Familiar with Angular JS development and proficient in HTML/HTML5, CSS and JavaScript technologies (Node.js,JQuery,etc.).
  • Proficiency in REST based web services.
  • 2+ years with API Gatewaye or similar integration development experience.
  • Understanding of business process management, ECM, and CRM.
  • 10+ years of language experience in some of the following: JAVA, JavaScript related technologies (Node.js), Scala, Python, SQL, NoSQL (Mongo,Redis), Graph.
  • A firm understanding of building mobile applications that utilize web-services (either HTTP, XML, SOAP, JSON or other services), in order to tie applications to critical server-side APIs.
