Great-West Financials Systems Group is looking for highly skilled Senior Software Compliance and Contract Specialist. The position is located in the Denver DTC. The role requires minimal supervision, self-motivated leader that will manage all contractual aspects including, but not limited to, software and hardware procurement, Cloud agreements, renewals, professional services agreements and contract negotiations as required.  This person will also lead external audits as required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ability to work independently to lead contract tasks, including contract negotiations, contract renewals, Cloud agreements, software license agreements, hardware agreements, master services agreements (MSA) and create statements of work.
  • Ability to lead and be the point of contact and subject matter expert for audits regarding software licensing audits and license metrics contained in contracts.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of controls relating to software licensing governance to ensure company policies are being adhered to,
  • Lead in communicating results both written and verbal of software licensing audit requests to many areas within the organization.
  • Lead in communicating results both written and verbal regarding contract negotiations, renewals, purchases and professional services agreements with many areas within the organization.
  • Mature experience with the ability to think out of the box to interpret agreements and get the job done while minimizing the company’s risk.
  • Assist in preparing written reports for all levels of management detailing any risks and findings and working together with legal.  
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and legal.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration and or Computer Science preferred).
  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant previous Information Systems work experience or equivalent required.
  • High degree of understanding of risk and control concepts related to software licensing controls and software contracts terms, to include strong understanding of IS contract terms and conditions required.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office Product suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management and outside vendors.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize, schedule and execute multiple audits and/or contracts simultaneously in a fast paced changing environment. Demonstrated attention to detail is critical.
  • Exhibit strong desire for continuous learning and improvement. Self managed with the ability to be solutions oriented and resourceful.
  • Decision making and problem solving expertise. Must be able to apply a wide variety of specialized techniques and methods involving a number of disciplines or areas of expertise.
  • High degree of financial management and procurement experience and understanding.
  • Application of processes and practices including the latest business, risk, regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Ability to follow Company standard policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams in a professional manner. Works collaboratively with peers and others in the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills.
