Possess strong expertise/knowledge/skills to contribute to the development and execution of company objectives. Has depth of experience in own specialty and leverages actuarial concepts and in-depth evaluation of various factors to solve complex issues. Monitors and analyzes developments in actuarial techniques and practices, with an emphasis on research into laws and regulations applicable to the valuation of insurance and investment products. Plays an active role in preparation and interpretation of data and related formulae. Works with complex systems and may design systems. Considered lead resource in the Actuarial Valuation regulatory space and is established in the role as guardian of the company's financial interests.
Bachelor's degree in actuarial science or math/statistics required.
FSA and MAAA designation required.
At least eight years experience in either product, valuation, actuarial, or investment departments.
Has developed conceptual and practical expertise in Actuarial area; strong actuarial knowledge that is easily shared with peers.
Strong communication skills and the ability to present complex concepts and analysis to all levels, including Senior leadership across the organization.
Proven project management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office including Excel, Powerpoint, Access and VBA.
Experience with actuarial projection software such as MG ALFA or AXIS preferred.
