Job Summary:
This position is responsible for direct contact with employees of complex and high touch retirement plans and clients in the corporate and not for profit industries. The primary focus is the education, communication, and servicing of retirement plans through group presentations, one-on-one counseling and other marketing avenues. This will include reviewing retirement rules, plans rules, investment options, and other financial and retirement topics as requested. This
position will also assist the management team in effectively establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders as needed.

Primary Responsibilities

Duties, Responsibilities & Essential Functions:

  • Attends Sales Finals, 401(k) Committee meetings and other sensitive meetings as needed.
  • Acts as a mentor to new hires, and existing employees.
  • Shares knowledge with REC s and the group as requested.
  • Polished communicator/presenter with the ability to turn sensitive situations into positive outcomes and build stronger participant and client relationships.
  • Facilitates communication and education strategy by conducting group meetings, in person, via the web or in recorded presentations, and conducting one-on-one employee sessions.
  • Assists in developing the communication and education strategy for assigned plans.
  • Assists in maintaining & retaining existing client relationships.
  • High-performing individual who provides consultative expertise to employees to increase participation and enrollment.
  • Typically handles complex problems or inquiries.
  • Manages meeting assignment schedule, travel booking (including flights, hotels, and car rental as needed) to meet meeting requirements.
  • Completes and submits client related forms during employee contact sessions in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Regularly reports meeting information and enters details into proprietary reporting systems (meeting tracker, etc.) on an ongoing basis.
  • Provides feedback to client service teams about what is or is not working at client sites and may assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities for the client.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Registrations / Certifications / Licensing Required:

  • Must obtain FINRA Series 6, 63, & 65 licenses required within 90 days of hire.

Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years related experience.
  • Presentation skills (to groups or individuals) required.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commission, proportions, percentages and fractions.
  • Good working knowledge of the firm's products, the Direct Client's business and ERISA
