The primary objective of this position is to research and resolve complex annuity issues impacting internal and external clients and systems.  The business involves US annuities, including lottery annuities, and consequently requires expertise in state legislation for several product lines.  The incumbent also coordinates/oversee annuity area projects, provides expertise/training to annuity team members and call center staff, assists with annuity workflow, investigates accounting issues and sets up structured settlement files and assignments on structured policies.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Researches appropriate plan setup on system, reviews contract/policy for guidance and/or makes judgment calls on data, with
    assistance from Manager.
    2. Initiates process improvements and required system adjustments.
    3. Investigates necessary changes and implements, tests and trains on said changes.
    4. Coordinates and manages special projects.
    5. Investigates and resolves complex system and non-system related issues; makes changes and updates as necessary.
    6. Reconciles suspense accounts and investigates accounting issues.
    7. Respond to escalated internal and externa1 client requests in a timely manner.


Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent business experience.

2-3 years experience in Financial Services preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks independently.
Proven analytical, decision making and problem solving skills.
MS Office proficiency.
Industry related courses (i.e. LOMA) an asset.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent written and verbal skills required.
Ability to quickly learn a variety of unfamiliar subjects.


Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Normal Office Working Conditions. Occasional overtime may be required.
