Position Highlights

The Specialist supports Empower s retirement plan services business, which provides plan record keeping and related services to public, corporate, institutional, non-profit, and government entities that offer qualified and non-qualified retirement plans to their employees.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Review and draft various types of client-facing agreements and other documents related to recordkeeping, trust, investment, insurance, advisory service, and similar services; assist in facilitation of negotiations with clients with oversight from senior team members and counsel as needed
  1. Perform contract management function, acting as key point person on point person on behalf of the broader organization to drive the scheduling and completion of contracts
  1. Facilitate internal discussions and escalations of contract issues and strategies, in collaboration with internal counsel
  1. Assist with creation and maintenance of contract templates, policies, and other documentation
  1. Manage to business milestones and adjust/re-prioritize work to meet deadlines
  1. Track work and provide detailed status and reporting to management and clients on a regular basis
  1. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.

 

Requires 2-4 years experience. Financial services industry experience, a

plus.

 

Manages time well and works efficiently, tracks due dates, effectively organizes and prioritizes information, is punctual; accelerates pace as appropriate to urgency 

 

Operates with integrity and communicates respectfully in language, writing, and actions 

 

Designs and delivers clear, respectful communications across audiences

 

Specialist should be fully proficient in applying established

standards; knowledge base acquired from years of experience in the

subject matter area.

 

Highly articulate and able to convey contractual positions in a client-

friendly manner.

 

Ability to adhere to and enforce deadlines and to drive

results.

 

Superior written and verbal communications skills with ability

to explain complicated issues clearly and succinctly.

 

Effective time management with ability to successfully handle multiple assignments and competing priorities.

 

Ability to work under pressure.

 

Detail oriented.

 

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions:  Typical office environment.
