Position Highlights

Evaluates highly complex mega and other new and current business opportunities,  evaluating the ability to service the plan effectively and profitably.  Reviews technical documents and identify the needed services and capabilities for ongoing recordkeeping.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed review of all mega and other new business utilizing RFP, plan documents and other sales information for alignment to segmentation catalog definitions and associated expenses

 

  • Lead various technical experts to identify and evaluate business process exceptions requested from existing and potential clients.

 

  • Lead the evaluation of cost, risk and investment necessary to accommodate those exceptions and communicate those findings succinctly to the Business Acceptance Committee.

 

  • Manage the underwriting and repricing decision-making meetings ensuring outcomes are documented, communicated and tracked.

 

  • Lead monthly management reporting

 

  • Lead product development discussion with Segment Manger in annula planning and trend analysis.

 

  • Ensure all new business continues to align with segmentation criteria, business specifics and set pricing.

 

  • Responsible for escalating issues and identifying implications of business changed from original approach and engaging cross functional team to evaluate impact.

 

  • Lead alignment to best practices and appropriate and approved business exceptions to clients and prospects. Build and deliver reporting on results.

 

  • Conduct post-implementation evaluation of new and existing repriced business and lead cross functional team to report on alignment to segmentation criteria, deal sheet, revenue expectations, and exception accommodation.
  • Develop and deliver monthly report of all repriced and on-boarded business including recommendations of changes to process, roles, responsibilities, etc.  Provide summary in quarterly segmentation Business Review

Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree required
  • Ten years work experience in the retirement industry
  • Extensive knowledge of qualified and nonqualified defined contribution plans
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and focus group facilitation skills a plus
  • Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and presentation skills required
