    The Senior Network Engineer will manage the daily operations, support, and maintenance of the data center and WAN networks for the company.  Additionally, the person in this role will design and establish corporate standards, develop and implement network enhancements, as well as make recommendations for improvement.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Monitor and maintain highly complex network systems software, hardware and core infrastructure; acting independently under consultation direction.
    • Utilize software and hardware tools, identify and diagnose complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
    • Provide network systems subject matter expertise in support of systems and application development projects.
    • Be assigned to on-call support rotation to troubleshoot network issues.
    • Lead maintenance and troubleshooting of the most complex network systems software, hardware and core infrastructure (servers, switches, network devices, etc) utilizing software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose problems and factors affecting network performance.
    • Participate in network planning, network architecture design and engineering.
    • Work on one or more projects as a team member or leader.
    • Design and establish protocol compatibility standards, develop and implement network enhancements and make recommendations for improvement.
    • Decompose tasks, define milestones, create schedules and estimate and monitor technical resources for projects.
    • Contribute to the completion of project/program milestones under the general guidance of immediate supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) is preferred
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or equivalent experience
    • Master's degree in related systems or business field preferred or equivalent experience
    • Minimum of 5-7 years relevant network operations and engineering experience
    • Knowledge of related industry specifications and standards, dynamic routing protocols, data center switching infrastructure, network design, network architecture, protocols and network topology
    • Knowledge of Software Defined Networking, WAN optimization and IP load balancers are desired
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, Google or other providers
    • Cloud experience with Equinix, AWS, Google or Azure is preferred
    • Experience with Python or other automation languages is a plus


    Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: 24X7 Network Operations environment. Occasional travel is required
