  • Position Highlights

    The Marketing Manager of Participant Education will be responsible for developing the overall strategy for our onsite presence and digital education model to drive high levels of participant engagement.  This individual will work closely with Product Management to define the participant offering, develop the onsite education materials, work with a third party vendor to create a digital education offering and evaluate the effectiveness of the programs.   Additionally, this individual will work with the Retirement Education Councilors and Relationship Managers to rollout and train these groups on how to use the enhanced materials.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Develop the strategy for onsite and digital education for all segments
    • Design a variety of instructional materials for traditional instructor-led courses, online programs, web-based learning aids or products and other programs as needed
    • Create compelling course content and engaging learning activities that cover a wide range of financial topics
    • Align program offer and content with Product & Marketing roadmap initiatives and partipant experience initiatives
    • Establish the criteria/ success measures that should be used to assess the effectiveness of the programs
    • Work with our internal agency to enhance the meeting content and deliver recommendations for the best way to deliver an interactive experience
    • Create supporting material/ media to enhance the overall learning experience (audio, visual, role plays, games/gamification etc.)
    • Analyze courses to ensure they meet or exceed Empower and client standards and drive participant engagement
    • Provide regular reporting on program usage and trends
    • Remain aware of all emerging instructional technologies and make recommendations about when to adopt certain systems to continue to offer the best learning experience possible

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 5-8 years’ experience in curriculum development
    • Strong understanding of the capabilities of eLearning development tools and software
    • Marketing communication development experience
    • Experience managing large-scale projects and vendor relationships.
    • Ability to work autonomously, but excel in a team-based environment
    • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong project management skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft office solutions
    • Financial services/retirement services knowledge a plus
