    The Benefits Analyst will provide administrative and operational support for the day-to-day maintenance of benefit programs. The right candidate will have a genuine interest in employee benefits and be highly organized, tech-savvy, and have a solid track record of commitment to both customer service and continuous process improvement.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Provide proactive day-to-day administrative support for benefit processes, programs, and plans, such as medical and dental, life/AD&D and disability insurance, health savings accounts, 401(k), pension and COBRA.
    • Daily maintenance of employee benefits plans, including: tracking and maintaining employee enrollment activity/eligibility, enrollment/coverage issue escalation and resolution, and assisting with onboarding and offboarding activities related to benefits.  
    • Provide exceptional customer service to associates and serve as first point of contact for answering daily employee benefits questions and providing issue resolution; direct employees to appropriate benefit plan resources and provide education on benefit plans, coverage, and policies.
    • Provide input into the design of new programs; develops associated policy, procedures and documentation along with other necessary supporting communications
    • Assist in the preparation and delivery of effective and proactive employee communication materials related to benefits plans, open enrollment, wellness programs, etc
    • Assist with preparation of data and information for annual reporting/participant notification requirements, HR audits, and other compliance needs as required; supports regular internal audit activities to ensure data integrity and completeness.
    • Support and assist in the planning and implementation of annual benefits open enrollment activities.
    • Assists with review and accuracy of plan documents; supports Benefits teams by obtaining necessary documentation for various filing forms, such as, but not limited to, form 5500 filings, summary plan descriptions, etc.
    • Resolves and handles escalated employee concerns and claims issues. Provides support to employees and HR community on benefit related requests and ensure a high level of customer service.  
    • Lead the implementation and administration of wellness programs including biometric screenings and flu shots.
    • Coordinate vendors supporting health & wellness initiatives to ensure support of the overall company benefit philosophy.


    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
    • 3-5 years’ experience in a benefits administration
    • Solid foundational knowledge of benefits/general HR processes, regulations, and laws; strong knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA & PPACA. General understanding on ERISA, DOL and IRS regulations
    • Workday experience helpful
    • Proven ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and handling of sensitive information
    • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and prioritization skills required
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills
    • Customer-service orientation paired with strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
    • Ability to effectively and tactfully communicate information and respond to questions from internal customers in a timely manner
    • Self-starter who quickly learns new business processes, new systems and tools
    • Solid understanding of the underlying relationships between HR systems and other business processes/objectives
    • Self-motivated and ability to work well within a fast-paced, high volume HR team environment
    • Ability to establish strong relationships within all levels of an organization
    • Understanding of need and ability to act with urgency and provide accurate information to customers.
    • Strong analytic and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
