    Responsible for managing and overseeing the daily management and/or special projects of a specific segment within Conversions . Interacts with internal and/or external high-level contacts to develop solutions to complex and difficult problems.  Responsible for relationships with Empower, multiple sales regions and/or special projects that span small/midsize/large & complex plans.  Responsible for developing, modifying, and executing policies.

    Primary Responsibilities

    1. Oversee new plan set ups and/or special projects for plans within multiple regions/partner(s) and varying sizes.
    1. Oversee staff training, staff mentoring, quality standards, reporting, disciplinary action, motivation, managing managers to identify appropriate staffing levels to projected volume  with overtime/vacations and forecasting strategies, timely performance appraisals and salary/promotion/merit increase recommendations. Involves frequent interaction and coordination of staff and their assignments. Provides necessary instruction and mentoring to allow staff to become proficient in all required tasks.
    1. Ensures that goals and deadlines are met and that workloads remain balanced.  Involves continuous communication with down line managers and review of staff workloads, discussing status and progress of assignments, identifying trends and suggesting workarounds.
    1. Leads managers and assistant managers on segment quality assurance, survey results and gain loss to ensure standards are upheld.  This includes driving out gaps in controls, proactively engaging in system enhancements to improve service and quality and ensuring that consistency in segment execution.
    1. Attend meetings to keep abreast of company policy, changes and procedures.  Communicate to staff, as needed.
    1. Engages sales and relationship management teams to ensure proper alignment and consistency of service model delivery
    1. Responds to partner representatives and clients (includes brokers and third party administrators) with appropriate resolutions on escalated high level issues.  Provides professional and detailed explanations toresolve client issues.  Maintains internal and/or external client relations.  Discuss issues and trends with subordinates, peers and relationship management, as needed.
    1. Ensure processes are created and revised as needed to keep current with documented procedures.  Monitor progress on special projects and initiatives as assigned or as needed to improve current processes.
    1. Establish operation objectives and work plans to meet annual budgets, cost per plan targets and new plan sale goals and initiatives.
    1. Develop, modify and execute policies.
    2. Research complex issues in a timely manner.
    3. Other duties as assigned.
    4. Participate in finals presentations, site visits and RPF responses.




    • Bachelors degree or related work experience


    Registrations / Certifications / Licensing Required:

    • Series 6 License and Series 26 License required within timeframes established by Securities Compliance


    Other Preferred Qualifications:

    • 10 years related work experience and 7 years management experience
    • In-depth knowledge of the retirement industry, the internal record keeping system, FASCore and/or plan document/provisions knowledge
    • In-depth IRS/DOL reporting knowledge
    • In-depth regulatory compliance knowledge
    • Knowledge of specialized area of business
    • Demonstrated leadership skills and executive presence
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Analytical and problem solving skills
    • Presentation skills
    • Resolves most questions and problems. Works with other leaders throughout the organization. Full management responsibility for team with high degree of autonomy.     Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:

    Professional office environment and regular use of office equipment such

    as computers, phones, fax and copy machines.  While performing the

    duties of this job, this role is regularly required to type, sit for

    long periods of time, read, verbally communicate, present information

    and respond to questions, collect and analyze data, prepare reports,

    problem solve, concentrate.  Some travel may be required.
