  • Position Highlights

    The Senior Marketing Manager, Advisor and Consultant Marketing oversees the development, implementation and management of engagement programs for advisors, consultants, and national account firms.   The function fully supports sales efforts by engaging advisors, increasing plan sales and market share, and improving overall experience and retention.  Position reports directly to the VP of Advisor, Sponsor, and Investment Marketing.


    Success in this role is tightly aligned to the achievement of sales goals.


    This marketing professional will partner with sales, national accounts, and other marketing team members and be supported by our internal advertising agency.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Leverage available data to identify and profile leading advisors and advisory firms; work closely with National Account and Sales Management to derive and distill market intelligence
    • Establish and maintain relationships with top distribution partners to align goals, coordinate top-down messaging, and gain firm endorsemnent/approvals
    • Develop and evolve a market-leading value proposition and messaging, including support of thought leadership content
    • Partner closely with Product Development, Sales, and Service teams to support key initiatives and product sales priorities
    • Develop and execute multi-touch campaign calendar, with measurement on advancing and expediting the sales process; train sales teams on their effective use
    • Develop an effective, differentiated advisor education and practice management program
    • Support on-site and regional events, including planning and content
    • Measure effectiveness across a variety of dimensions to continuously refine value proposition
    • Occasional participation in sales presentations or site visits; limited travel required
    • Continuously evaluate and manage return on marketing investment


    • 10+ years of product/marketing management, preferably in Retirement services or related industries
    • Strategic planning skills
    • Understanding of competitive marketplace
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Attention to visual and design elements
    • Strong research and analytical skills
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Ability to operate effectively in a matrixed environment
    • Innovative and creative mind
    • Familiarity with the latest marketing trends and technologies
    • Insurance and FINRA 6, 26 and 63 licenses/registrations preferred



    Working Conditions:

    Normal office environment with some exposure to repetitive motion, as well as minimal exposure to bending, reaching, crouching, or other non-sitting, non-standing positions.
