    Empower is currently seeking a Business Systems Analyst for their Implementation Services department. Working under limited supervision, this position is responsible for assigned development projects involving system technologies designed to reduce costs, save time, improve quality and/or improve customer service throughout the organization. This role entails diverse responsibilities to include, but not limited to, code development, testing, documentation and training as defined by technology and business need. Project time frame, scope and complexity are dependent on project objectives.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Core support and technical involvement across multiple technologies, with primary and secondary responsibilities assigned. Will be cross trained on all technologies to provide back-up and/or extended support as dictated by business need. Technologies include, but not limited to, InfoPath, SQL Server Management Studio, Adobe Smart Forms, FileNet, Web based guided user platforms and Microsoft Access. 
    • Responsible for the development and delivery of new functionality, maintenance packages, and daily technology support; including user interface software tools, processes/procedures for handling new products or developing new strategies.
    • Develop and utilize thorough working knowledge of the specific areas within the organization, as well as business, finance and technology.
    • Define and manage to timelines, established based on client deliverables and product prioritization
    • Conducts problem analysis, prepares recommendations for action, coordinate deliverables and implement approved recommendations
    • Supports projects from the original concept through final implementation. Interface with all areas affected by the project including business leaders within the functional departments, end-users, and customer/client services. Ensure factual, timely and quality project tracking, analysis and reporting.
    • Engaged in diverse assignments dependent on the technology and stage of the project lifecycle to include project management, process analysis, performing development, testing, documentation and training. 
    • Reviews deliverables to ensure developed solutions match requirements and adhere to current business standards. Obtains sign-off on all deliverables from key parties.
    • Offers daily technical and procedural guidance and leadership.
    • Competent facilitation of and participation in internal/external client calls related to development, maintenance and production support.
    • Provides operational support and training to the business regarding new policies, procedures and products directly related to assigned projects and deliverables.
    • May lead subject matter experts (SME’s) or project resources as appropriate.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 3-5 years prior project management experience, utilizing business analysis skills on technical projects and/or systems reporting required.
    • Ability to prioritize resources and tasks in a fast paced changing environment required.
    • Strong consultative interpersonal and relationship building skills required.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as within teams is required.
    • Ability to work effectively with a wide range of diverse departments and individuals, both internal and externally facing is critical for success.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively influence at multiple levels across the organization is required.
    • Power User of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access) required.
    • Experience working in Retirement Service preferred
    • Experience with XML structures, SQL, Smart Forms and SalesForce applications also a plus.
    • Bachelor's Degree (IT, Business, Finance) or equivalent experience required.
