  • Position Highlights

    Under general supervision, provides licensing support to all lines of business within Great-West Financial and Empower Retirement.  The Licensing Coordinator is responsible for the timely and accurate creation and or update of Advisors, Agents, Brokers and Broker Dealers appointments, required product training and ensuring that specific Department of Insurance and FINRA requirements have been met; the set up and maintenance of banking information for our partners in order to facilitate compensation payments

    Primary Responsibilities

    Workflow  Management – 65%

    • Create and update master data, credentialing and banking files in SAP according to specific State Department of Insurance, FINRA, Great-West Financial and Empower Retirement specific procedures and audit requirements for Advisors, Agents, Brokers and Broker Dealers.
    • Reviews, maintains and manages time sensitive service request queue ensuring that work assigned is processed timely and accurately and within time standards; all follow up conducted within agreed upon timeframes; all documentation is included in the service request and meets all audit and quality control requirements; will peer review other team members work.

     

    Client Service – 15%

    • Is articulate when responding to a high volume of questions and or issues that are received via CIRRUS, e-mail, direct telephone calls or walk ups that come from our Advisors, Brokers, Broker Dealer, as well as our internal sales, processing and client service teams across all lines of business. Preparation of both routine and non-routine semi complex written summaries that clearly articulate the issue, research completed and the final resolution.

     

    Team Work – 10%

    • Works cohesively with team members to provide back up due to increased volumes or absences for other Licensing Coordinators and the OnBoarding Team Workflow Coordinator.
    • May assist with training of new hires as needed; participate in the creation and or update of processing and procedure documentation ensuring that it follows compliance and industry standards.

     

    Project Management – 10%

    Responsible for the scheduling of the monthly and or annual state renewal process which includes: the timely and accurate reconcilation of records between Great-West Financial and assigned State Departments of Insurance; necessary updates on both the state and company systems ensuring all records are in sync and the company is only invoiced for the active Advisors, Agents, Brokers and Broker Dealers.  The reconciliation and coordination of the payment  of state renewals is time

    Education

    • College Degree preferred

     

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 2 years work experience in the Financial Services industry preferred
    • Superior communication and client service skills
    • Strong attention to detail; analytical and multi-tasks to meet tight deadlines that exceed SLA's
    • Must be extremely organized, a problem solver and has a sense of urgency
    • Experience with Outlook, Word and Excel
    • EASY, CIRRUS and SAP experience preferred
